Statement Of Beliefs
Our beliefs centre around the person of Jesus Christ and a deep commitment to the 'words in red' in the scriptures. Through Him, His teachings and actions, we determine and interpret all of our beliefs.
The Trinity
God is eternally three in one: Father, Son, & Holy Spirit. Jesus Himself said He and the Father are one. When God made man, He said; "Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness". The Trinity is uncreated and cannot be destroyed. Jesus commanded us to make disciples, baptising them in the name of the Father, the Son & the Holy Spirit; in other words, we baptise people into all of God (The Trinity).

The Father
The Father is the everlasting, all-powerful, all loving, just and perfectly holy, sovereign ruler and sustainer of the universe. The Father is well pleased with His only begotten Son. He dresses the lillies and watches the sparrows and with even more diligence watches over us.. He is our Vinedresser, pruning unto fruitfulness. The Father disciplines those He loves. Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father. He shows compassion to those who fear Him. The Father remembers His covenant forever. He is the Father of light. He is the Father of glory. He is a Father to the fatherless. He runs towards the returning prodigals. He will not dwell with the wicked, He separates the sheep and the goats. He is Abba, Father. To receive a spirit of adoption into His family, we must be born again, not of blood but of God. The only way to the Father is through His son Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ
Jesus is Yeshua, our deliverer and rescuer. He is the Messiah, our High Priest and Bridegroom. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross as our perfect sacrificial Lamb. He took back the keys of death and hades and rose again in three days, defeating the grave. By His finished work we are free from sin, sickness, and disease. He is seated at the right hand of the Father forever making intercession for us and upholding the new covenant made through His own blood. We live in hope of His soon coming return, ever preparing ourselves as His Bride for the wedding supper of the Lamb. He will return to reign over His Kingdom and judge the living and the dead.
He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He is the Vine. He is the Pearl of Great Price. He is the Treasure in the field. He is the Narrow Way. He is the Bread of Heaven. He is the Good Shepherd. He is our Chief Cornerstone. He is the Head of the Body. He is the Light of the World. He is Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last. He is the Living One. He is the Ancient of Days. He is the Son of man and Son of God. He is the King of Kings. He is the Author and Finisher. He is Emmanuel. He is all in all.

The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit hovered over the waters in the beginning. He was poured out on the early church at Pentecost and continues to pour Himself out without measure. He makes each follower His temple sanctifying and purifying them by His Holy fire. The Holy Spirit is grieved by and convicts us of sin. He teaches us to be Holy as He is Holy. By His supernatural empowering, the follower is able to walk in a manner worthy of the calling of Christ Himself. He reveals the Son, making the Truth known. He is the promised Helper and Comforter. He produces fruit such as love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control. He emboldens the witness of the Body. The Spirit seals us for the day of redemption, crying in and through the Bride "Come Lord Jesus!"

The Gifts of the Spirit
We believe that every born again follower of Christ can operate in all the gifts that were poured out through the Holy Spirit, although not necessarily a sign of salvation. That means all can receive words of wisdom, words of knowledge, faith, healings, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, different kinds of tongues, interpretation of tongues. These gifts are the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to the body of Christ.
We believe that people can still operate in the gifts without love and are clanging cymbals in the sight of God. "Many will say 'Lord, Lord, Have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you who practice lawlessness!'"
Matthew 4:23, 7:22 12:28; John 10:37; Mark 16:17-20; Acts 2:1-4; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; 1 Corinthians 13
The Bible
"In the beginning was the Word and the Word and was God and the Word was with God." Jesus is the word made flesh. The whole Bible, both Old & New Testament is God’s word to man. "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."
The Bible is living and powerful. It is sharper than any two edged sword, dividing even soul and spirit, joint and marrow, discerning the thoughts and intents of the heart. We believe we are to study the Word to show ourselves approved.
"But even if we, or angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed". We believe no encounter of God will ever contradict the Bible. It is inspired, infallible, authoritative and we measure our whole lives by it.
John 1:1-5, 14; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 2:15, 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Galatians 1:8; Revelation 19:13
The Cross
"But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world." Jesus was slain before the foundation of the world. Since before the beginning of time, it was the Father's plan to send His Son as a ransom for many.
The cross is what we gather around. It is what we preach, It is what we look upon. It is more than a historical event. The cross is the culmination of the passion of Christ. It is the ultimate expression of God's love. It was here the Lamb was led to the slaughter without saying a word. It was here that He was marred more than any other man. It was here that He was crushed, pierced, wounded, forsaken, despised, mocked, hated and rejected. It was here, creation killed it's creator. It was here that the debt of all sin and iniquity was paid it full once and for all.
Jesus said "It is finished" and yielded up His spirit. No one took His life but He gave it freely. He was buried in a tomb and then three days later resurrected fulfilling all prophecy.
Isaiah 53; Galatians 6:14; Colossians 2:14; Luke 23, 24; John 2:19; Revelation 13:8
Communion
Communion is an integral part of our worship and liturgy. It is the body and blood of Jesus, it is true food. It is the source of life.
This meal is a revelation of the person of Christ as the Lamb, High Priest and Bridegroom. His Body was broken and His Blood was shed for us so we can eat and drink in a manner that is worthy of such a sacrifice. Taking communion allows God to search us and know us, lest we eat and drink judgement on ourselves. This is a regular reminder that for all of eternity we will behold Jesus as the Lamb "standing" as though it had been slain. Victorious in sacrifice! Unless we drink the blood and eat the flesh of the son of man, we have no life within us.
John 6:53-56; Matthew 6:26-28; 1 Corinthians 10:15-17; 1 Corinthians 11:27-31; Hebrews 12:24; Revelation 5
Baptism
Water baptism is a direct command from the Lord. Every believer is instructed to be baptised to identify with Jesus in His death, burial and resurrection. For we are now dead to sin and alive in Christ.
Romans 6:3-4; 1 Peter 3:21- 22; Matthew 28:19
Sin
Sin was introduced to the world through Adam, the first man. His sin enslaved us to the power of the devil. All of mankind has sinned, and the wages of sin is death and therefore, separation from God. As the prophets, John the Baptist and Jesus himself preached, so do we: Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Jesus Christ paid the penalty of sin to reconcile us to the Father. Everyone who repents and believes in Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins are forgiven and free from the curse of sin and death.
Genesis 3; Matthew 3:2; Romans 5:12-21, 6:23; Ephesians 2:1-5
Salvation
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, the only begotten of the Father, who died and rose again in power over death, sin and the grave. Jesus is the only way to the Father and our only Saviour. Salvation is a gift given freely and is to be worked out with endurance, fear and trembling until the end.
We believe that we have been saved, through the blood of the Lamb, are being saved and sanctified, through the prayers of Jesus our Great High Priest, and will be saved by our Bridegroom King. We eagerly await union with Him at the wedding supper of the Lamb.
Matthew 24:13; Romans 1:16; Ephesians 2:8-9; Philippians 2:12; Hebrews 10:12-14
Kingdom Come
Miracles and healings were the works Jesus and His disciples demonstrated to confirm the good news about God’s Kingdom making its advance against the influence of the world, the flesh and the devil. We believe that all followers of Jesus today are empowered to demonstrate these works and eagerly desire the spiritual gifts to advance His Kingdom.
Matthew 4:17, 23, 12:28, 28:19-20; John 9:4, 10:37; Mark 16:17-20; 1 Corinthians 12:9-10, 14:1
